Has anyone else had a problem getting PC names to appear? I've clicked on and off many time under "options" and I remember they showed up when I first started playing, but I can't get them back. Thanks!

Hi Pimpkin - it is odd, and that brings me to ANOTHER problem  I can't post on the P99 forums because I haven't been able to authorize my account. The authorization email they sent me had a broken link as well as a contact email that nobody has responded to. The URL they gave me was: /forums/register.php?a=act&u=26840&i=0d5af6fdf9334c9b7d834bd076cbdbc0ffb8954c Maybe I'm not doing something right - I do have an authorization number. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks! |

Thanks for trying to help Miyumi, but ARRGGGHHH!!!  Sorry for the long post This is what I get when I click on your link: We could not activate your account because this web address is not valid. Make sure that you have the entire address from the email, and that your email client has not split the address over several lines.
Please try again with the full address from the email that you received. If it still does not work, try filling in the activation form: Activation formWhen I then fill in the activation form it takes me right back to the same “we could not activate.... blah blah blah” If you do not know your activation code, you can find it in the email that was sent to you when you first registered. To have it sent again, please click here:
Send new email with activation code. (I tried that too) If all else fails, email the administrator, making sure that you include your registered email address and username.
If I click on the "email administrator" link this is what I get: You have entered an invalid username or password. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again. What in the world D: That's pretty strange indeed :\
I bet what had happened is the link expired when you tried to activate it. Although I'm not 100% because I don't know if they expire. Some forums have them expire, some don't. It's optional but only the Admin knows if they do or not.(That I know for certain because they are using vBulletin)
Uhmm.. The only thing I can think of is- try to log in with the name and password you made. It may ask you if you want to re-send the activation link. 'If' it does, just put http://www.project1999.org in front of the broken link. It should end up looking like http://www.project1999.org/forums/blahblahblah
If that doesn't work.. Maybe one of us could email the Admin? XD haha

*sigh* You seem to have alot of problems Farelina, and I don't know how to help you on a single one of them. If your account still cannot activate make a new account with a different username instead.

Yes! I finally did get it to work. I switched from Firefox to Explorer and that seemed to help. Dunno if that was the reason I had a problem initially but who cares!! ;D

Finally found an answer to my original problem which was not having PC names show up.
/shownames 1 did the trick! <clap>

Good to hear that got all strained out. Odd that it would work on IE over FireFox but that usually does happen.
